GP Collective Action

Primary care has been under strain for many years. In March a British Medical Association (BMA) member referendum on the 2024/25 GMS contract changes took place. It has been reported over 99% of members who responded, that’s more than 19,000 GPs and GP trainees, rejected the Government and NHS England’s 2024/25 GP contract changes. GPs feel the contract is not suitable for providing the level of service we want for our patients, which has led to the national collective action.

New River Health are in support of the collective action to improve the services into primary care.

We would like to reassure you that your care is our top priority and we will NOT be putting any restrictions on patient appointment numbers, or the care you receive.

We will keep you updated if anything changes.
